The Blattner brush pit is located approximately 8 miles East of the Hwy 87 and Hwy 260 intersection. The turn off is on the South side of Hwy 260 at mile post 259.7. It is just West of the "Elk Crossing" location, or 100' feet before you get to the 'Elk Crossing' from Payson. Once on the dirt road south of Hwy 260, stay right for approximately .5 miles.
The Pine Brush Pit is located on the Control Road, East off Hwy 87 at mile post 268 then go East for .5 miles. Turn South and go approximately .1 miles to the pit.
Acceptable items: Natural vegetation is accepted at the pits. This includes all forms of brush, pine needles, leaves and tree branches.
Prohibited items: No construction materials, wood or metal including dimensional lumber, plywood products, roofing materials, etc. Nothing with nails in them. No tree trunks over 6 inches in diameter, no tree root ball. No plastic materials (leaves or needles in plastic bags must be emptied and plastic bags taken with you).
